I have just finished listening to this audio book It was Wonderful The story plot was really good and the many side stories that linked to it The characters were all very interesting, their personalities and foibles came across so well I could build a picture in my minds eye of them, as real people The issues that this book dealt with, such as, the impending war, drug abuse and rivalry between the hotels, not to mention the Racism and sexism of that period in history, were written in such away I had empathy and concern for the characters I found myself looking forward to listening to it I must mention the Brilliant, in my opinion, narrator What a voice it made listening to the book a pleasure I hope he will be reading the next one I listened to the first in series of this book, when it came out last year I was impressed with it However I have to say this was even impressive I can t wait to listen to the next in the series. To Mr du Beke I say Thank you It was great Loved the Big band music nice touch.

Having recently read the first in this series I enjoyed moving directly to this second book with both familiar plus new characters and its intriguing story lines Of course I now wonder where the anticipated third in this series will take us The hotel setting allows people to come and go in addition to the usual upstairs downstairs mix of contrasting staff but the special mix of the dancing brings Anton s own glamour and flair into every chapter Overall a great mix that I hope will continue yet awhile

Lovely read and was glad the story went on and to hear it will continue again after this We all love you Anton and writing about what you know has paid off as Raymond is you even if the books are set before the war. Finally I hope so much that you will eventually be made compare or head judge on Strictly as you deserve to be

I lived the characters, and how they all stood by each other This is such a lovely story, making you feel like you were there with them as they go through their trials and how becoming a family without realising it is the most important thing I hope there is another to come Wonderful, would highly recommend.
