Last light is is really well written book focusing on a smaller scale story than many of its predecessors This really helps when introducing the various Spartans and Inspector Lopis It still had plenty of kick ass action but the story is really about the Spartans and learning a little about what was done to them.It also serves as a starting point for the return of Blue team that played such a big role in Halo 5. Definitely enjoyable, and worth a read.I m not sure how much it added to the HALO story as a whole But an enjoyable ride.I read this and Halo Hunters In The Dark, I actually preferred that one slightly, but still, two great books. Very happy about reading this book It had beloved old characters as well as new ones I ve as inspector Veta Lopis my new favourite character in the halo universe The over all story was great and lots of new information about the halo universe And dying to know what happens to the characters and things , perhaps books One of the best halo books i have ever read, i love the main character, and i want to see so much of her, whether thats in a game, or a book the plot was excellent, and really helped to understand some aspects of the halo universe better, such as the anti UEG UNSC feelings on the colonies over all great, and i hope that in some way there is a continuation of this story, and it s characters. I ve read a lot a books and lot of the Halo novels By any standard this is a truly excellent read well paced, quality dialogue, great characters just a brilliantly told story. If you re at all interested in any sort of thriller sci fi or not I can t recommend it highly enough. Great read An original novel set in the Halo universe and based on the New York Times best selling video game series It is , and the three decade long Covenant War that defined a generation has suddenly drawn to a close Yet in the remotest parts of human space, tensions remain that threaten to overflow into another full scale conflict Beneath the surface of the planet Gao lies a vast cavern system renowned for its therapeutic effects and rud miraculous cures But now Gao natives are turning up brutally murdered down there violent acts that happen to coincide with the recent arrival of a UNSC research battalion protected by Spartan Blue Team, led by the renowned Spartan II FredMaverick detective Veta Lopis of the Gao Ministry of Protection is only trying to do her job as the Special Inspector assigned to catch a serial killer one who is possibly hiding within the Spartan ranks but she never anticipates the situation spiraling out of control into an all out crisis When Gao is revealed to harbor ancient Forerunner technology that could solidify the UNSC s military supremacy for centuries to come, Insurrection loyalists within the planetary government will do anything even align with a vicious faction of what remains of the Covenant to ensure that never happens Partner loved it I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book The writing was good, the characters, particularly the Spartans, were well made, not flat The plot was very interesting, different from the typical Halo novel Although all these things are good, and there is nothing inherently wrong with the book itself, I feel like the author was veering too far from what Halo is supposed to be This is just my opinion, as a die hard fan of the universe, that I felt like I was reading a murder mystery crime novel than a Halo book And that s fine if that s what Troy Denning was going for, he pulled it off without a hitch, but it didn t feel like Halo to me, like CSI Spartan III Again, not a bad thing per se, I just did not prefer the move away from traditional Halo lore Although, I must give credit for juggling so many characters so well, especially some as varying and bouncing off one another as the Spartan III s Reminiscent of the original saga, which I very much liked and felt nostalgia from. il libro non mi ha convinto molto nella prima parte, davvero molto lenta e troppo su uno stile investigativo la seconda met del libro invece molto bella e scorrevole in stile halo vecchia scuola.come altri libri pubbilcati da gallery books della serie di halo il prezzo assolutamente senza senso esiste la versione pubblicata da titan books che assolutamente identica carta, materiali, sovracopertina a parte le dimensioni leggermente pi piccola la differenza di prezzo di 6 7 euro assolutamente ingiustificata.
