I am the first to say there are a lot of running books to choose from but there has never been one like this This book covers everything every runner at every level needs to know It is well written and extremely informative SO glad I purchased it Good Millions of runners around the country are interested in special experiences, whether it means running a bucket list event like the world s largest marathon New York City , or competing in beautiful and challenging locales such as Rome or Death Valley There is no one better to guide these runners than Bart Yasso As Chief Running Officer at Runner s World, he s run than , races, on all seven continents, at every conceivable distance Whether it s a K or half marathon, he s done it all, and in Runner s World Race Everything he presentsof his favorite races Yasso shares tips on how he trained, the particularities of each course, and what specific lessons he learned and insights he gleaned about how to run your best in each race Bart will teach you how to train and what to do on race day to make the best use of your training The book will give you everything you need to know to succeed at the most popular race distances, alongside Bart s one of a kind advice on his experiences at popular destination races so you can be inspired to tackle running s signature events You ll also learn Bart s methods for winning the greatest race of all longevity so that you can remain healthy, fit, and able to race for decades to come PLEASE NOTE When you purchase this title, the accompanying reference material will be available in your Library section along with the audio Great book I can t say for sure what exactly I expected out of this book but I don t think it met my expectations The book itself is great for beginners trying to find their way and get started The information is clear, concise, easy to understand and follow, and very well written The tips suggested by Yasso for tackling each distance are alright.I guess for the price of the book I expected it to have a little meat to it Some of the races he discusses on how to prepare for I will never run in my life and have no interest in doing so I would have liked less information on how to prepare for that specific race and for how to prepare for that distance overall, beyond what was already discussed. Muy buen libro sobretodo si eres principiante. The book is a good summary of races of all types along with some recommendations from Bart Yasso on his favorites Each chapter is full of good tips learned from Bart s personal experience and some recommended training plans which worked for him A good introduction for beginner runners, and a good read for experienced runners. Really nice book with reviews of several race events THe training schedules are great and if you can follow them all then you can become the ultimate marathon runner Bart Yasso tem muita experi ncia Correu muitas provas, de todos os tipos e tamanhos Por esse motivo esperava mais um livro com poucas dicas Poderia ser melhor Um outro livro similar que li recentemente, Run Smart, cujo autor o John Brewer, tem muito mais conte do e muitas informa es sobre o universo da corrida Recomendo esse ltimo. Good read
