{Audible} Spartan Up!: A Take-No-Prisoners Guide to Overcoming Obstacles and Achieving Peak Performance in Life (Audio Download): Amazon.co.uk: Jeff O'Connell, Joe De Sena, Christian Rummel, Audible Studios: Audible AudiobooksAuthor Jeff O'Connell – Circuitwiringdiagram.co

A good motivational read with some interesting life based lessons However, it just reads like one big plug for Spartan race Lots of motivational stories but always comes back to how these people lost weight or overcame tragedy to take part in Spartan races Don t get it if you are looking for something with academic reference to historical insights to Ancient Greece either. Definitely an inspiring book with great stories and good tone.I went through it a couple of times, great to keep around and get back to it for a few chapters times to times. The previous 2 star reviewer James Gibbons has said things perfectly so I won t write a full review I ll just say that this book gets boring fast and that just because you have a spare 2 minutes you don t need to drop down in the middle of an airport and bang out some burpees That s just stupid.I ll still be doing Spartan races but could with not reading this. Highly motivational and extremely inspiring in places really gives you a good kick up the backside if you re at the stage where you re ready for this type of approach to life Unlike some of the other reviewers, I didn t view this as a sales pitch for his events at all I thought all mentions were in context and supported the points he was trying to get across perfectly. Incredible book that should spur anyone on and fill them with the motivation required to get off your arse and go after your dreams AROO UK Spartan Beast last year was my first Obstacle Course Race this book is designed to change your frame of reference, and reminds me why I enjoy OCR so much Our fight or flight mechanism is supposed to kick in when we are running from a lion to save our lives, not when our brussels sprouts are slightly undercookedThis is not a training manual or a diet book although there are hints that both may be produced in the future but it is a motivational handbook for a healthier attitude to life. What an inspirational read I like reading and try to read quite a bit and still this goes straight to my top 10 reads, maybe top 5 even I know I will re read it and I read it as a mental preparation to my first spartan race It s than paid for itself in the lessons and inspiration it s shared Recommended to everyone who is interested in becoming than they currently are Books explains what it means to be a Spartan and became like one by pushing your mind and body past your preconceived limits I am looking forward to participate in a spartan race and transform my life after reading this book.
